Whether to forbit smoking or not has become a controversial issue in the last decade. Although there are people who claim smoking should be made legal, many people claim that smoking should be illegal. To begin with , smoking is very harmful for health ; especially it causes bad consequences for heavy smokers. For example , too much smoking can lead to lung cancer , throat cancerand heart attack which are fatal diseases. Especially heart attack is the reason for many people's death. According to World Wealth Organization (WHO), 11 000 people die due to smoking in the world per day. Secondly smoking has bad effects on non-smokers. They have to inhale the smoke coming from cigarette and estimated that being a second hand smoker is as dangereous as being a smoker. To illustrate they don't have a filter becoming from the outside so they suffer more. despite those strong arguments against the issue, those who are smokers claim that people have the right to do whatever they want. They believe forbit smoking deprive humans from choosing freely. On the other hand, in this opinion, they don't consider non-smokers. As a result, no serius reason to support smoking should be legal. In conclusion, it is crucial that ban of smoking is necessary to have a healty life.

ROBİN HOOD

I want to talk about a movie which is called 'Robin Hood'. I watched this movie on friday and it didn't satisfy my expectations. It isn't actually about real Robin Hood and his legandary archery skills.


Lion-hearted Richard is a king of England and comes back from Crusades. Robin is in his army as aecher. Richard was died during the last war and Robin and his friends leave from army. There is a traitor in army which makes a deal French king and he will provake the public against new king of the Enhland. He is killed people who carry king's crown to new king. Robin try to save them but he failured. He promise a man that he will transmit his sworn his father and he keeps his promise.

At the end of the film, Freche attack to Englend. The traitor provaked the public and nobles but Robin prevent rebellion. England beats Frence and Frence retract. In the war areas, Robin is declared as hero and the king envies to him so he declares Robin as outlaw...

Actually, I don't like this movie because I expected more things about real Robin Hood during I watch it. However, it is if you haven't expectations like me, you should watch it....

KNOWİNG

I want to talk about a movie which is called 'Knowing'. I have hard that this film has diffrerent ending so I decided to watch it. The film was showed in 2009. The film's genres are science fiction and mystery. The movie's leading actor is Nicolas Cage.


John is an astrophyscicist in M.I.T. He has a son whose name is Caleb. In 1959, students drew pictures about what they will 50 years later but a student wrote a numbers on her paper then they put them in time capsule and buried it. In 2009 students take them and Caleb takes a paper which is full of number. John realize that the numbers symbolize important disaster in the world such as 11 September and Tsunami . At the end of the film, the life on the the world is destroy by explosion on the sun.


The movie was good. If you want to see the end of the world, you should watch this movie ...:)

THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW

This week, I wanted to talk about a movie which is called ' The Day After Tomorrow' . It is really interesting. The film is about 'Global Warming' but the world is frezing in this film. The film was made in 2004. İt's genres are science fiction, action and adventure.


Jack is a scientist who search about climate. He discovered some changing on climate during his researc where iss in Pole. He discovers the fact that temparature rise up and he guess this will be dangereous about 100 years later but he is wrong. Actually it is in few weeks. Not long after, disasters start to come true. The Northern Hemisphare starts to freeze. Jack is in Washington and his son is in New york for a competition. Jack goes to New York for rescue his son whose name is Sam. Sam and his friends refuge in library during the storm. Jack and Sam talk on the phone and Jack said that they must stay in there and nobody go out because the weather will be too cold and if they went up, they will die by freezing. İn the maintime the cities are evacuated and people go to sorth. At the end, Jack arrives New York and Sam and his friends are rescued. At the and of the film, The American president says that we took warning...

The film is really good. Especially special effects are wonderful. If you like science fiction movies, I recommend this movie...

WANTED

I wanted to talk about a movie which is called 'Wanted'. İt is fantastic and full of action. The film was made in 2008 and directed by Tımur Berkmambetov. The film's genre is action, crime and thriller. The movie's leading players are James McAvoy(Wesley Gibson), Angelina Jolie(Fox) and Morgan Freeman(Sloan).

Wesley is a man who is a accountant. He learns the fact that his father was a assassin and he was killed by another assassin. After that, he wants to be a assassin and get revenge of his father's killer. He is trained by Fox and her friends. After he had completed his training, he has pursued assassin who is his father's killer and his name is Cross. Wesley catches him but he saves Wesley's life. Although Cross saves his life, Wesley shoot him. Before Cross die, he said that they are lying to him and he is his father. Wesley learns that is true and he wants to get revenge. Moreover, he learns that Sloan is indious so his father wants to kill Sloan. He goes to kill Sloan, Fox and their frieds. He kill lots of them but he is catched. He said that sloan is indious and he deceived them. Fox kill all of assassion and heself but Sloan escapes. At the end of film, Wesley kill him.

I really admire this movie. Especially, the visual effects are wonderful and amazing. If you like action movies, you should watch this film...

GO

I want to talk about a game which is called 'GO' . Go is a game which is played on the board by two people. It is discovered by Chinesee in 2500 B.C. The first time, go is played by Alper Kılıç in ODTÜ in Turkey in 1988 and then he organised ODTÜ Go Topluluğu.

Go is a strategy game. There are two colour of stones which are black and white. The board is 19/19 and there are 181 black stones and 180 white stones. The purpose of players capture to area on the board and enthrall opponent's stones.

I like Go. I have been playing Go one year. It requires intelligence, attention and concentration. It provide an opportunity that you can broden your mind... If you like stragedy games, I recommend playing Go...

FINAL DESTİNATİON 1

I want to talk about a movie which is called 'Final Destination' . It is fantastic and full of thriller! It has a great fiction. The film was made in 2000 and there are four Final Destination series. The film's genre is horrer, thiriller and action.

Alex and his friends go to France from USA by plane. Alex had dreamed before the plane leaved. He saw that the plane exploded and all of them died. Alex and another six people get off the plane. After that, the plane exploded like Alex's dream. They avoid the acdident and survive. After the plane explosion, they who are survival start to die from accident. I want to say that the accidents are really amazing. Alex find that they die according to the list of plane and if someone was saved, the list pass it. Alex tries to disrupt the order. At the end of film, Alex and Claire save.

I like this film. I has watched it again and again. If you like thriller movie, you should watch The Final Destination' series....

The students have many friends from all over the world. They spend on lots of time with their friends. They tell something about their culture each other. As a consequence, the students should join a work and travel program if they want to develop their language and learn different cultures.

HEALTHY DİET

There are two significant effects of having a healthy diet. The first effect is on our body. If we have a balanced menu which includes enough amount of carbohydrate, proteins, fats, sugar and vitamins, it will nourish our organs. As a result of this, our immune system will be stronger. If we have a strong immune system, we will be protected illnesses, virues and bacteries. The second effect is on our mind. If we eat nutrients such as fish, nuts, vegetebles, fruit, they will be improve our nerve cells. Our nerveous system eill be better if we consume these nutrients regularly. As a consequence, we will probably have strong memories. To sum up, people should have a healthy diet if they want to have a good memory and strond immune system.

I want to talk about an anime which is ' ONE PİECE' It's fantastic, amazing, always funny, sometimes emotional..... I really love it. It is produced by Japanese like other animes. It is published since 1999. There ara 442 chapters and it is still going on.

Luffy is main character . He is 17 years old . Luffy is a pirate and he wants to be a king of pirates. Luffy ate devil fruit which is 'gomu gomu no fruit' and he become rubber man when he was a child. It's mean that his body can extend. They can't swim who eat devil fruit but they become very powerful. Luffy created a crew and he is their captain. They search for a big treasure is called one piece. Luffy has a huge appetite and he is reckless, frank, carefree, pure... so he is very funny but he is very serious and powerful when he fight. Luffy always wear straw hat so he is sometimes called straw hat by his enemies. There are nine person in his crew.

Zoro is second captain. He is a swordsman. He can use three sword and he wants to be the best swordsman in the world.
Nami is a route process in the ship and she wants to draw all of the world's map.
Usopp is a gunner and he is a snipers. He is a big liar, he always lies.
Sanji is a cook and his kicks are very strong.
Chopper is a reindeer. He ate devil fruit and he can speak like a human. He is a doctor.

LOST

I want to talk about a tv series 'Lost' . It is amazing and full of secret. It started on 22 September 2004 and still going on 6. season. The first chapter was watched 20 million people only the U.S. I has watched only first season yet and I'm still watching second season.


The tv series started that a plane felt an island. This accident was terrible but there was a lot of survivors. They are lucky person. Unfortunately, they couldn't be found because the plain had deviated from the route.

There are lots of main character who are Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Sayid, John Lock, Hugo Hurley, Michael and his son Walt, Claire, Charlie, Jın and his wife Sun...... There are persons that living on island who is 'the others' . I hasn't known anything about the others yet. In the tv series, flashback is done and sometimes this can be borinh.

I wonder whwt happens next seasons. There are five seasons in front of me. I!m watching about seven chapter in a week. If you like a tv series, you should watch 'Lost'......

SLUMDOG MİLLIONARE

Fantastic.... İt is really fantastic film. I have heard that 'Slumdog Millionare' won 8 Oscars last year. The film was made in India and it was directed by Danny Boyle and Loveleen Tabdon. The film's genre is crime, drama and romance. The film is described real life with fantastic life.

Jamal K. Malik who was a poor people in India. His childhooh was really difficult. He has a brother called Salim K. Malik. Jamal has loved Latika since their childhood. Jamal compete 'Who Wants To Be A Millionare' and he comes to final. the contest has a berak for one day and jamal be arrested because the police think that he cheated but they understand this is wrong. He return to contest and won the big price which is 20 million rupi. At the end of film, Jamal and Latika come together.

I think it is a good movie. The story is fantastic. In my opinion you should this movie........
